Belfast vintage crested small handled souvenir ware dish.
*Diameter approx. 8cm across handle to handle.
*A cute item with a crest item with motto.
*In good vintage condition with chip on underside of bowl where you won’t see it. There is a remnant of gold on the rim where gold would have gone around, but most has now disappeared.
*Gemma and backstamp on bottom. The Czechoslovakian porcelain factory which made this was founded by Lazarus and Rosenfeld in 1883. The Crown and Shield mark with 'Gemma' was used between 1918 and 1945. Outside of its home territory this maker is most well known for the Gemma crested-ware range, often used for souvenirs throughout Europe.
Please remember when buying vintage items that they may have flaws. They are often one-off items we'll never see again and that's what makes them so special. You may be pleasantly surprised when any flaws I point out or you see are not very noticeable to the human eye when you receive the item.
