Beautiful oval/egg-shaped glass stopper. It is quite unusual in that it has a lovely heavy head and a slim shaft. Because of this I'm not sure whether it would have been used as a wine stopper or a perfume stopper (but the head seems too large for that). Hopefully someone out there who collects such things will know the answer!
It's a lovely piece - the shape and weight are nice and I haven't seen one like this before.
